International School Award

We are very proud to have been awarded the Foundation level of the British Council’s prestigious International School Award, in recognition of our work to bring the world into the classroom!

This award celebrates the achievements of schools which do exceptional work in international education. Fostering an international dimension in the curriculum is at the heart of the British Council’s work so that young people gain the cultural understanding, capital and skills they need for life and work in today’s world.

Evendons' international work this year included its Cultural Fair, International Languages day and discovering more about world-wide Francophone countries. 

We are committed to developing a whole school approach to embedding and celebrating international culture. Our dedication in this area enriches education and supports the development of globally aware young people and as well as key skills.

We look forward to achieving the next level of the British Council's accreditation scheme which is engaging in collaborative curriculum-based work with one or more partner schools.
